Ink Studio ("we," "our," or "us") provides studio management software for tattoo artists and studios. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the protections we have in place — including our zero-knowledge approach to sensitive identification documents.
By using Ink Studio, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
We collect information you provide directly when setting up and using your account:
We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as browser type, IP address, and usage activity, for security and performance purposes.
Government-issued identification uploaded to Ink Studio is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves your browser. We cannot read it, access it, or recover it. Only you — the account owner — can view the documents stored under your account.
When you upload a government or official identification document (such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport), the following security model applies:
Because encryption keys are derived from your credentials and never stored separately, Ink Studio is unable to produce identification documents in response to requests from third parties, including law enforcement, unless legally compelled and technically capable of doing so — which, by design, we are not for this category of data.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
If you use Ink Studio's SMS feature, your studio's phone number is provisioned through Telnyx, a third-party telecommunications provider. Messages you send through the platform are transmitted via Telnyx and are subject to their privacy policy as well as applicable carrier policies.
Client phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used only to deliver messages you initiate. We do not use client phone numbers for any marketing or third-party purpose.
Message recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.
We share your information only with service providers necessary to operate Ink Studio, including:
These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not sell or rent your data to any third party for commercial purposes.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law. Encrypted identification documents are stored until you delete them or your account is closed.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Note that because identification documents are encrypted with keys only you possess, we cannot retrieve or deliver those documents on your behalf — you must access them directly through your account.
We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), role-level access controls, and private storage configurations. For identification documents specifically, we have implemented a zero-knowledge architecture described above. No security system is perfect; in the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Ink Studio after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
